We need to sensitise local authorities and governments because the economy cannot take precedence over the health of people and the planet. We no longer want a development model that only favours economic growth, but one that also looks at the environmental and social aspects. Measures must be adopted on the basis of strategic planning, endeavouring to foresee, avoid or mitigate possible side-effects arising from those measures.

Very strongly agree on this, and it's also related to the narrative we have about green transition. The economy, while important, is not THE most important thing to consider when deciding how we live now and in the future. The constant push to consider economic impacts and aim for growth comes from private companies looking for profit, not common welfare, and public institutions should operate outside the endless growth paradigm. Economy is man-made, it can be redesigned to fulfill the needs of the planet and the people.
